What you get with your key
Your API key grants access to a hosted, OpenAI-compatible chat-completions endpoint serving the uncensored 'uncensored' model. This is a text-in, text-out interface running on our own servers, tuned to answer without content refusals for lawful adult use. You can use the standard OpenAI SDKs or any OpenAI-compatible client by simply changing the base URL to https://api.openrouterapi.top/v1 and injecting your key. The endpoint supports streaming via SSE, function calling, JSON mode, and standard parameters like temperature and top_p. It does not support embeddings, image generation, audio, video, or fine-tuning. The model has a 64,000-token context window, with a default max output of 2,048 tokens unless you specify otherwise.
Billing and trial credit
Every new account receives $0.50 of trial credit valid for 7 days, requiring no credit card or phone number. This allows you to verify the API works with your code before committing funds. For continued usage, you top up via crypto (USDT on TRC20 or USDC on Base) in whole amounts between $10 and $500. Pricing is transparent: $0.25 per 1M input tokens and $1.00 per 1M output tokens. Errors and refusals are free, and prepaid credit never expires. You can replace your key anytime if it leaks, and support handles double charges directly.

Do I need a credit card to sign up?
No, you do not need a credit card. You can sign up with just an email address and password, or via Google. The trial credit of $0.50 is available immediately without any payment method verification.
What happens when my trial credit ends?
Your trial credit expires after 7 days if not used. You can then top up your account with crypto (USDT or USDC) to continue using the API. Unlike the trial, regular prepaid credit never expires, so you can add funds whenever you are ready.
How do I replace a leaked API key?
If you suspect your key has been compromised, you can generate a new one from your account dashboard. The new key becomes active immediately, and the old key is deactivated. You can have only one active key per account at any time.
Is this the official DeepSeek API?
